Redemption Church is a church plant taking root in the Parkdale neighbourhood of Toronto—and we’d love to have you join us on the journey.
Local roots.
Good news.
We are a group of Christians who are from Toronto. We live here, grew up or moved here, and consider this place to be our home. We believe in God. We follow Jesus. We’ve experienced the ongoing transformation of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to holding up these truths while living out our lives as a community that believes the Christian message is Good News that should be shared with the world.
Some of us come from Christian backgrounds. Some of us were raised around gang members and sex workers. Some of us have more education, and some of us have less. Some of us were born right here in Toronto, and some of us made our home here along the way.
What unites all of us is the belief that Jesus changes lives, that God is active in our world, and that the Bible tells the truth: though we are more broken than we ever feared, we are simultaneously more loved, accepted, and pursued by God than we ever dared to hope.
What to expect
We have moved from gathering in homes to public Sunday evening gatherings at Bonar-Parkdale Presbyterian Church. We are currently working toward launching full services. Come as you are: listen, ask questions, take part, or simply get to know us.
We are associated with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptists and the Acts 29 Church Planting Network, while aiming to be a home for everyone, wherever they are in their spiritual journey.
